Love the Heart Tilda

Happy Saturday everyone...hopefully you will have a 3-day weekend. What's everyone doing? My hubby wants to go to Disney tomorrow, Ashleigh just wants to chill. Anyways....I made this card to send to someone who it was her turn to be rained on. This Tilda is just so sweet & of course I can't seem to get away from the flowers. The colors go so great with this Basic Gray DP & found a piece of ribbon that was a perfect color. I used copics on Tilda & Bella baubles. Well, I dont know if I will get any cards accomplished this weekend but look forward to seeing yours. Have a fantastic Labor Day :).

Rose Tilda for Moni

Hi again...I know..2 cards to share in one day. I wanted to make a card for my very good friend, Monica, because I would never have learned to make cards if not for her showing me. The card was for her birthday, which was late, but I thought pretty cute...but arent all the Tilda's??

New Cards......

Happy Sunday Everyone, I made a few cards recently but havent had a chance to post. My daughter wants a hair cut before school starts tomorrow so I wanted to get this done first. I made this one for the daughter of one of my very best friends. Jenna turned 15 while they were here on vacation August 4, 2009. I think she really liked it & she's learning to scrapbook & make cards too.

Another Card on my blog....

I made several cards last weekend & then forgot to post one mid week. I really love this Edwin. I think he's so cute with the roses for someone. The paper is from Basic Grey, which is my fave, and its one of their new ones. The ribbon actually matched the paper perfectly but not sure you can tell.
Today our children & grandchildren are coming & so far I havent been able to get anything done with my cards. Ineed to get to cooking here shortly...very easy stuff too.
Well, hope to post again soon & get to your blogs too.
Blessings, Lynn

New Cards......

Hello friends...Here's a couple of cards I put together today. I had the images ready just havent had time to put them on cards. This week I got the new Basic Gray paper pads & they are so pretty. Just perfect for what I was looking for to go with the coloring on Tilda or Edwin.
I have been so busy the last couple of months & have missed terribly making cards & getting together with my friends. I have been working overtime at my job & have been a bit under the weather too. My daughter & I went to North Carolina over the July 4th holiday to visit my parents & other family members. Also, went to my cousin's in Virginia for their 21st annual July 4th party with tons of good food, games & fireworks. Everyone had such a great time. I was feeling sort of okay this weekend & decided I would make a cake for my husband...from scratch!! I used a recipe from a Taste of Home book I have & it was so good. It's almost gone! Then I made a really nice dinner...roast beef, fresh corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, cucumber & NC tomatoes....My hubby is going to have out patient surgery on Tuesday & asked that we feed him good for the next couple of days. Sorry to say but I'm glad its him this time & not me! Then after all that I made a couple of cards today to catch up on some raining cards that were past due. Once they are mailed tomorrow, I will be caught up to July & two lovely ladies & myself are being rained on this month. I'm so excited its my turn!! I have already received two cards & boy, do I need to get busy & learn some more stuff. Those cards were fabulous (thanks Jacque & Lillian).
I really look forward to making more cards & checking out what you have been up to!
Blessings,
Lynn

I'm back.....

to making a few cards...Hi everyone, I've been so busy at work with overtime & working a couple of Saturdays I havent posted anything in forever..well, since March. Today's card I used one of the cutest Tilda's & a background stamp from Summer at Roses on Paper. I tried my hand using the Flower Soft which I like. I just had in my head something with a background & I dont draw free hand at all. I used copics for coloring, the DP is Basic Grey & dazzling diamonds from SU to add a bit of sparkle to the clouds. I love to use the bright colors & it reminded me of springtime. Since we are getting caught up at work I hope to be making more cards & catching up on everyone's beautiful blogs. Today is my daughter, Ashleigh, 15th birthday. We are enjoying a day at home, while it rains a bit (thank you, God), and wonderful friends are here from North Carolina. Have a wonderful & blessed day!

Sisters Birthday Card

Hello....this is a birthday card for my sister, Tina. Her birthday is today & she's in NYC on business. I got this stamp at Stampfest when I was with Monica & Amanda for the day a couple of weeks ago. I loved it right away. I have 3 sisters & they are all getting one of these this year! I'll print it out later for you so you can actually know what it says. Maybe I need to charge the camera?? Just not sure, help?!?!

New Cards...finally

Well hello everyone....I've missed you all lots but I've taken time (very little lately) to see what beautiful creative cards you've made. I made cards for my nieces last weekend at Monica's but absolutely have not had time to post them. Then the pictures came out a bit blurry so I'm disappointed with that! This first one is for Madison. Her birthday was in January (bad late aunt). They have discovered Build A Bear so have to get to the mall for a gift card. Of course, it's a Magnolia & the DP is Sweet by DCWV, I think. She's very simple but I really like her.

Happy Saturday everyone! First, I want to tell you Lim has some fantastic candy to celebrate her one year blogaversary...http://lim-thevoicesinmyheadlimblog.blogspot.com/...congrats, Lim!! Next, I know I was going to have new cards up soon but have been so busy!! I've been working part time for a friend, working my regular wonderful job, been sick (had a PET scan checking for any more cancer, pray that I dont) & just got a new fur baby this week, trying to decide what to name him & everyone has their own ideas. I'm card crafting with Monica & Amanda later today & it's my goal to have a card to post later or in the morning. I went to Stampfest w/Moni & Amanda last Saturday & boy, was it fun. Got too much good stuff & very excited about it! I've missed seeing what everyone has done so hope to get caught up soon!!

Hi again, I wanted to share with you cards my daughter, Ashleigh, colored & then put together herself (with minimal help from me). She's very creative & when the mood hits she wants to color, etc, when I do. It's fun for me because I love talking to her about whatever. She's almost 15 & growing up way to fast.

MFT Birthday Card

Happy Sunday Sassies, I cant believe I didnt work on a Magnolia today! But one of my dearest BFF's had a birthday one week ago & I just now, today, made this card for her. We've been friends for so many years I thought this image from My Favorite Things would be great. I used Copic Markers, the pretty printed paper is from Basic Gray, the sentiment is from Stampin Up & the other paper is some I've had for a while but not sure who's it is. The ribbon is from Michael's. It's a simple card & doesnt have a lot of extra's but I think Marie will like it. Tell me what you think? Should I have added more? Thanks for looking & have a great day.

A Valentine Tilda

Hello again... Since Valentine's is coming up soon I decided to make a sweet Tilda card. I stamped the image at Monica's on Saturday (thanks Moni!) & finished it up Sunday. Tell me what you think & what I can improve on for my next stamps.

Magnolia's on my Blog....

Hello everyone, I've been coloring & putting together a few Magnolia's lately & finally have figured out how to post them. I hope you'll have time to tell me what you think of them. The first one was colored with PrismaPencils, then the rest with Copics. The paper I used was some that I had here in different packs of paper but the last one, I used Basic Gray.

Another Tilda...

This is another card that I made several months ago at Monica's house. I love this Tilda!!

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Leave me a comment!

New Cards

Good Saturday morning,

First, thank you all for the prayers for our band family as they are all very much appreciated.

I hope to be posting cards later today. I'm going to Monica's to play, color, talk, etc, oh & make cards!!! Hopefully, she'll show me a little more about the blog stuff. My daughter & I colored some fairies last nite from Inkadinkadoo that are cute. She completely made the cards after coloring & did a good job so I may put those on there too.

I hope you all stay warm & have a great day.

First Post Attempt

Hello there...this is a test picture of the cutest girls ever!! Monica is helping me posting stuff on my blog so this picture was quickest. This is my daughter, Ashleigh, and granddaughter, Makenzie (whose mom is our oldest daughter, Rena). I'll have cards later on.

Hello & Happy New Year

Hello everyone & Happy New Year!! I am finally getting my blog going & hope to have some cards to post within the next week. It's a busy time of year at my job so we might have overtime which would not afford me the time I want to make cards. Since I'm basically new to card making I will always appreciate your comments. I have really enjoyed looking at all of yours so now its your turn to take a peek at mine. Giant Hugs to you all, Lynn
